The exchange partnership with the University of Melbourne Law School links two of the world’s most dynamic and respected institutions for the study of law. Melbourne Law School hosts a number of centres and research institutes that intersect with the focus of many of the Max Planck Law Institutes.
The exchange involves two Melbourne researchers spending up to three months at one of the Max Planck Law Institutes, and two Max Planck Law PhD students or postdoctoral fellows spending up to three months at Melbourne Law School during semester 1 (July–November) or semester 2 (March–June).
The Max Planck Law-Melbourne Exchange takes places every year. Applications are invited via our newsletter and social media channels, usually in January.
