The Ethics, Law and Politics Department at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity will host a virtual workshop within the framework of the Max Planck Law network on the topic of ‘Citizenship and Human Rights’ on 4 March 2021 with a lecture by Professor Kelly Staples (Leicester) at 18.00. The lecture will touch on the issues of citizenship and statelessness, as well as immigrant status and electoral participation. The lecture will address questions such as the right to nationality and access to citizenship, statelessness, the linkage between citizenship and political rights, as well as questions relating to citizenship and diversity.
Due to the current circumstances the workshop will take place in a virtual setting. The Zoom link will be provided prior to the session to all registered participants.
