The workshop will collect the first results of the pilot project ‘An Oral History of the European Court of Justice’. Interviewers will present the most important findings from their conversations with former members of the Court: Judges, Advocates-General, and key officials.

An Oral History of the European Court of Justice
Convenors:
Professor Stefan Vogenauer is a Director at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory. He works mostly in the areas of European legal history, comparative law and transnational private law, and has a particular interest in legal transfers in the common law world, the history of EU law and the comparative history of legal method.
Dr Jan-Henrik Meyer is a researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory. His research combines an interest in the history, politics and law of European integration with environmental history.
