Let’s Talk About Funding: Applying for (and Getting) an ERC Grant

In her talk, Professor Fikfak will speak about her experience applying for funding for different projects, including small grants, larger grants, and ERC grants. She currently leads the ERC-funded project Human Rights Nudge, exploring state responses to European Court of Human Rights judgments. From 2025, she will lead an ERC Consolidator project on access to international human rights justice and a UCL Grand Challenges initiative on barriers to climate justice for children. Veronika will discuss how to think about research questions, objectives, and methodology, how to decide between different funders, how to shape ideas into fundable projects. She will describe the ERC application process and talk of her experience sitting on project review panels. She is happy to answer any questions from the audience.

If possible, please email your questions to us until Friday 10 January so that Professor Fikfak can develop the content of her ERC talk in line with the needs of our researchers and alumni.
